Work has started on a new private housing development in Sutton. Rydon's regeneration arm, REAL, has started work on the first homes for private sale as part of the Lavender Housing Partnership's regeneration project in Sutton. The 27 new homes, situated off St James and St Johns Roads, have been designed by award winning architects, Pollard Thomas Edwards.

The two and three bedroom homes include gardens, parking and offer a range of energy efficient features that will contribute to reducing running costs as well as conserving the environment.

Through the partnership, new homes have already been completed at Paisley Terrace and Mellifont Close in Carshalton.  Work is also due to start on a further three sites later this year, with the final sites being developed during 2010.

The show house is expected to be launched in June, with all the homes scheduled for completion towards the end of 2008.
