Real Environments

We have a REAL commitment to doing everything we can to protect the environment. When building new homes in London or outside the city, we also incorporate as much biodiversity as possible into the scheme.

It’s not just about creating houses and apartments that are energy efficient and which reduce homeowners’ energy bills. It’s about incorporating energy saving policies in all our commercial activities. For example, in planning every project we take into account reuse, recycling and reduction of waste on site.

Initiatives to maintain or promote biodiversity might include creation of wild planted spaces, ponds or green roofs. REAL is a founder member of One Planet Products, a working group which aims to identify and source environmentally friendly products, materials and services for its members. This enables us to learn about new initiatives and progress in sustainable construction at a very early stage, often before other developers in and around London.
